Serious poem no. 1

Its crumpled brow and downcast looks
reveal it’s serious.

It comes with heavy steps,
black laceless shoes,
a sizeable rump.

Dresses in knit browns
barely containing a bulky bust.

But what beautiful big golden
shiny eyes –

one would surmise
some sense of humor
hidden somewhere.

Opposites attract. The best companion for a happy poem might thus be a serious poem. Not an unhappy one. Just like the opposite of love is not hate but indifference, right?

Only wordpress members can comment here. Is there anyway you can change that?

Anyway, this poem had a real interesting POV. Unique! And I liked the subtle humor in it.
