Laurence and Laura

(meant for each other and yet …)

When did they meet?
It was as if by magic
and naturally gratuitous –
and then soon gone
in a hustle of work.

It proved to be hell,
love reduced to chances
to meet as if by magic
and oh so unnaturally
naturally gratuitously.

Written using meet, magic, naturally, gratuitious, gone, hustle, work, hell, love, chances from Café Writing’s option 3 (pick 3) for Do you believe in magic?

As you can tell, dear reader, all of the words were used, and some of them more than once.

There are some couples that aim for the extraordinary – over and over and over again – until they fail (because the extraordinary inevitably turns ordinary).

How many far-fetched Hollywood feats can anyone hope to accomplish in a row to sustain a relationship?
