One memorable night

let me get these fireworks out of my mind he thought all in turmoil let me stop from exploding let me think of other things but never had it been so hard there was such pain such confusion enhanced by such drunkenness with the effort to numb himself let me get these fireworks he’d seen it right in front of him that kiss on raised heels lips inviting the kind of kiss that would cause fireworks that kind of kiss but planted on someone else not him let me get these fireworks out of my mind let me get rid of them let such fireworks even their mere memory be banned forever
